Don’t it always seem to go you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone? Thanks for reminding me, Joni. Yeah yeah yeah, I know… I’ve heard that dumb quote “the coldest winter I ever saw was a summer in San Francisco” too many times to count. I KNOW! I get it. It doesnt help that I FEEL it. I’m used to blistering hot days and scheming hair-brained ideas just to keep cool. I went back to southern california for almost 2 weeks… needless to say, the sunshine was MUCH appreciated. It finally felt like Summer — in JULY — what a concept. Now I’m back and I cant stop thinking about the hot days and the creative clothing. Creative? Yes, creative. Getting back to places where it’s so hot you dont WANT to wear clothes, but you also don’t want to marked as the village freak for walking around nude, either… so, the clothing gets smaller… and thats where things get interesting. An inspiration, so say the least, as usual.

Seriously loving man shorts… (And man sandals… weird? yes. but seeing men with well-taken-care-of feet is WONDERFUL)

Here’s to getting a heat wave in SF soon, and to the mixture of clean / crisp & sweaty / salty / trashy summer clothing.
